In a statement on January 21, 2025 a spokesperson for Cumann Tomás Ó hAirt, Sinn Féin Poblachtach, Ard Mhacha Thuaidh: ‘This latest RUC/PSNI military asset known as a ‘Bear Cat’ is ready for imperialist actions in the Occupied Six Counties’.
“It was visible for all to see in the Craigavon area this week.
“The RUC/PSNI have gifted themselves a pre-Christmas present from ordinary tax payer monies.
“In the intervening time you will hear the pro-British apologists in Stormont deny, that this military vehicle will be used to facilitate heavy handed dawn raids against Irish Republicans.
“We know different! There is no doubt that this will be used to demonstrate military aggression against the nationalist population.
“The ‘Bear Cat’ has to justify its existence and somehow the enormous cost.
“They have nothing in their whole imperial arsenal that can break the spirit of one Irishman who doesn’t want to be broken.
