In a statement on August 29, 2025 a spokesperson for Cumann Tomás Ó hAirt, Sinn Féin Poblachtach, Ard Mhacha Thuaidh said: “Revolutionary Irish Republicans should resist any attempt by the colonial ruler to double down on our right to express displeasure at their failures.
“As a membership based organisation, Sinn Fein Poblachtach has demonstrated that by standing on the rock of the 1916 Proclamation and supporting its ratification back in 1918. This is the bedrock of where we, the true Sinn Féin organisation stand, as we go about the re-establishment of the 32 County Irish Republic. This has given us the firm ideological foundations to design our own proposals, which have been deemed workable by political scientists and endorsed by sections of the PUL community.
“Éire Nua is objective for freedom, sovereignty and prosperity between all the peoples of Ireland, working in tandem for the common good. We endeavour to bring forward a fairer and more equal society built around new governmental structures.
“Sinn Fein Poblachtach is realistic in that it is a long way from achieving our objectives, yet our membership feels it has a duty to outline an alternative to the present failed system.
“The British people are dealing with increase state-sponsored censorship as well as the British government’s actions through legislation, policing, and surveillance. An intent to manage dissent perceived as disruptive, particularly on issues like Palestine, climate change, and immigration.
“In the Occupied Six Counties the RUC/PSNI have followed the same model. The continued use of arbitrary terror laws to quell dissent and the support for Palestine Action have been used and protesters continually demonised in an overwhelmingly pro-British/EU media. The colonial rulers of Britain know no bounds, including murder, when establishing methods of dismantling progressive activism.
“Sinn Fein Poblachtach has direct and unbroken continuity with the original Sinn Féin organisation founded in 1905.
“In this instance, never will we accept foreign rule over the historic Irish nation.”
