In a statement on February 11, 2025 a spokesperson for Cumann Tomás Ó hAirt, Sinn Féin Poblachtach, Ard Mhacha Thuaidh: “We condemn the British Crown force bully-boys for accosting local business owner.
“According to the Dog Bark owner, local man Brian Leathem, who vehemently denies any wrongdoing and states that he was exercising his right to oppose a Bankruptcy Order.
“The Dog Bark has been described as a very popular urban doggy fun park and social setting for dog owners.
“In recent days a video has appeared on social media, which clearly captures Mr Leathem protesting and as a result of his well-rounded professional approach it seemed too much for the state agents.
“It is understood the RUC/PSNI attended at the request of the Occupied Six Counties Insolvency Service which is within the Provisional’s Department for the Economy portfolio.
“Sinn Féin Poblachtach condemns the actions of the so called Official Receiver and their bully-boys, thuggery.”
